Hall's Croft

Hall's Croft was home to Shakespeare's eldest daughter Susanna. Built in 1613 it is an impressive piece of architecture reflecting the Hall's wealth and status, the displays inside the house also reflect this. With an exquisite walled garden filled with a wealth of beautiful roses and herbaceous borders, it's the perfect place to enjoy a little peace and quiet.

Shakespeare's Birthplace

Royal Shakespeare Company & Theatres (R.S.C)

The transformed Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres are now open and you are welcome to explore the RSC’s new home. As well as performances all year round, you can enjoy a meal in the Rooftop Restaurant, take a Theatre Tour book a ticket to go up the Tower from which you can see unique views of Shakespeare’s home town or browse the free exhibitions.

Anne Hathaway's Cottage

The world famous Anne Hathaway's Cottage is situated in Shottery 1 mile from Stratford-upon-Avon and was the childhood home of Shakespeare's wife. The young Shakespeare would have courted Anne here and the thatched cottage has often been described as the most romantic in England. It still contains many rare family items of furniture that date back to Anne's time, including the finely carved, oak Hathaway bed.

Nash's House & New Place

Nash’s House was owned by Shakespeare’s granddaughter, Elizabeth, and adjoins the site of New Place, where the Shakespeare story ends in 1616.
