A few of our guests have discovered that Avonlea is the perfect base to enjoy a day’s horseracing at the headline-grabbing festivals at Cheltenham, but Stratford-upon-Avon races have a charm all of their own.
Stratford Racecourse is just a mile from Stratford-upon-Avon – meaning racegoers who stay with us can leave their car at Avonlea and walk to the course to enjoy the hospitality at one of the country’s leading small jump racecourses.
Racing takes place regularly between March and October, with many top trainers and jockeys attending. The Summer Race Days attract families and groups who can picnic in the centre of the course.
